2004 Women's Agenda Assemblies

This information is maintained for historical purposes. Please check www.ncwu.org for links to more recent information, in particular the 2006 Agenda Assemblies

Overview

Since 1988, advocates in North Carolina have banded together in each even year to share information on public policy issues apt to come before the next session of the General Assembly. Their efforts have resulted in a "Draft Women's Agenda" published in late summer as an educational tool.

These issues are then discussed at "Women's Agenda Assemblies" across the state, and the summaries of those discussions are presented to the Legislature at the start of the session in the odd year.

Several events were held across the state from August 2004 through March 2005.
