Overview
Advocacy Day was a great success with hundreds of visits to legislators and
even more e-mail messages from across the state. Every legislator received a copy
of our materials, so if you didn't get a chance to participate, it's not too late
to review the information below and send in your message in support of the Agenda.
Be sure to include a personal point of view on the legislation of most concern
to you.
The Women's Agenda
The discussions focused on the "2005 North Carolina Women's Legislative
Agenda." Get your copy here in the form most convenient:
For background, see the talking points document.
Check the General
Assembly web site to find your representatives' names to check if they are
cosponsors of the legislation highlighted in the Agenda.
See also Lobbying 101 to prepare for talking
to your legislator and information
from the Agenda Assembly process on local discussions on these issues.
