Notes on the meeting
The Annual Meeting of NC Women United is held each spring to elect board members
and governance committee members, hear reports from the committees, and discuss
other items that come before the membership. We are still a very new organization,
so the conversation can be wide ranging. Come with a view to what your organization
wants from and can contribute to NCWU!
The 2009 annual meeting:
Monday, May 18
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

(between Wake Avenue and Cameron Village, in the old --and greatly modified

Ballot
Board members are elected for 2-year terms. The terms starting July 1 include
President, First Vice President, Treasurer, and six Directors at Large.
Governance
committee members are elected for one year terms, starting July 1. The Governance
Committee will present the following nominations:
- President: Alison Kiser

- Treasurer:
- Director at Large:

- Mari Pino del Rosario
- Tara Romano
- Tia Stanley
- 2 more positions to be filled
- Governance Committee:
- Veronica Butcher
- Michelle Evans
- Mari Pino del Rosario
- Mary Peterson
- 1 more position to be filled by someone not serving on the board
Notes:
- Alison Kiser is the current secretary with a term ending 6/30/2010.
When she becomes president, a replacement will be needed for that position.
- There is no candidate for treasurer due to a last minute change. Interim
options will be discussed.
- If a member of the board is appointed secretary or elected/appointed treasurer,
then her/his as director would need to be filled by appointment.

Our thanks to the members of the 2008-2009
board. Note that the 2nd VP, secretary and the policy director terms
