Each year NC Women United presents our Anne Mackie Award to recognize an individual’s lifetime contribution to advocacy on behalf of women.
Once again the Anne Mackie Award Committee is delighted to request your assistance in highlighting one woman’s contributions and long-term commitment to our common goals.
The annual NC Women United Anne Mackie Award was established in 2008 to publicly recognize the long-term commitment and work of Anne Mackie. Anne Mackie founded the North Carolina Women’s Legislative Agenda, the precursor of NC Women United, and was instrumental in the creation and development of its signature project, the Women’s Agenda Assemblies. NC Women United was pleased to be able to present the inaugural award to Anne Mackie in recognition of her years of service.
The 2011 award recipient will be honored at the NC Women United holiday party, which will take place on Tuesday, December 13 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Busy Bee in downtown Raleigh. Please make plans to join us at this fantastic networking event as we gather in solidarity to recognize challenges this year brought while also cherishing our successes, strategizing future victories, and celebrating the contributions of the 2011 award winner!
