Minutes of 10/25/04 and 12/6/04 were approved with editing corrections.

Discussion of Women's Advocacy Day: March 30

The Draft Agenda will be updated for Advocacy Day. Local agenda assembly results may be posted for reference by women from those communities who want to share local information with their legislators. The Policy Council will review any additions to the Draft Agenda.

The publicity and outreach committee needs additional volunteers.

Veronica reported on the plans for a virtual aspect with Advocacy Day. There has been an offer of access to the CapWiz account of one of our member organizations.

Agenda Assembly Updates

June Kimmel reported on Cleveland County. Union County, Durham and Cumberland Counties are still to come. In the context of the Cumberland County Agenda Assembly, Queen Degraphenreid reported on the United Order of Tents, with roots in the underground railroad and active chapters in NC, VA and MD.

Other Announcements

The Emergency Contraception in the Emergency Room project will go public in early February with a virtual press conference to walk reporters through the web site: www.ncwu.org/2004/ecer

Polly Williams reported on the Pay Equity Study.

Anne Mackie reported on the March for Peace, March 19 in Fayetteville. www.ncpeacejustice.org. She also reported Triangle OWL is tracking the budget cuts to Medicaid.

Peter Walz of Democracy NC distributed buck slips on the income tax check off to fund judicial campaigns and announced their legislative agenda and the start of recruiting for Democracy Summer.

Equality NC and NC Coalition Against Domestic Violence distributed legislative agendas. s
