Dear NCWU members:
As many of you know, Polly Williams (NC Justice and Community Development Center)
and Arlene McKay (Triangle Business and Professional Women) have been leading
efforts to create a state-level Pay Equity Study Commission that would examine
pay equity among North Carolina s state employees. In order to demonstrate our
support for the Pay Equity Study Commission legislation (S747 / H544), we have
crafted a resolution in support of this legislation. As the session is winding
down quickly, we need to gather as many endorsements of this resolution as we
can in a short time, so I am calling on you for help.
Attached is a copy of the resolution, (MS
Word version, PDF version) which you
can print, sign, and fax or mail or return via email. Also, you can call or email
me if you want to make an endorsement but can't open the document. The resolution
is meant to be signed by individuals and organizations, so please distribute it
through other networks people who are concerned about this issue. If you have
any questions regarding the resolution, please contact me using the info below.

we can make a strong show of support for pay equity in NC!
