Thanks to all who stopped by our booth at the NC Governor’s Conference for Women held on November 2 in Charlotte.
NCWU sponsored a booth at the conference where, in addition to our organizational information, we also promoted the recently organized HERVotes Campaign. Many national organizations of our state members have already signed on to partner with HERVotes which aims to educate and engage women to use their voices and their votes to protect women’s health and economic rights.
Over 200 women pledged to vote in Election 2012 at the NCWU booth and the conference served as a great introduction for a diverse group of women across the state to learn about NCWU!
New 14 Carolina reported on the event and featured NC Women United’s booth and some of our volunteers in their coverage. You can also see photos of the day including some great shots of our booth and our HERVotes voter pledge sign here. Many thanks to all those who helped make this event a big success!
